Day 2 Final Tracking

The Drum room was concealed behind a sliding door. We did a bunch of clean work in there and it sounded awesome. The Vox cab was pointed at the corner of the room and mics were set up to catch the diffused sounds. The cab itself was only singled mic-ed but the sound was...Sigur Rossian. Couldnt be happier. Thats the Artisan 30H..im starting to wonder why I ever used anything more than 30 watts. What a little workhorse.

Exporting stuff. He was hung over, but he looks super comfortable hahaha.

 

 Slightly neater this time around. We tried some fun routing and mixed up some of those line signals to get...odd tones. I really cant say enough about how good the Rat Deucetone sounded. Just pure meat ball brute. The little guy next to the Giga Delay is the Big Eye, we lovingly referred to it as "the wild man". Just sounds like some creature tearing at its collar, so much damn fun.

Cleans, tweaking and vocals will be coming this month. Ill do my best to update for the vocals, i like to track those alone. I really excited to get this all together, these songs are going to sound massive.

Day 2 update pending....

Wednesday last week was a total fiasco. My doctors appointment was randomly cancelled, my iMac shit the bed and I had to dump some (read all)  of my savings into getting a new computer. Files are all safe, no worries there. 

Recording went well, we did everything we needed to do and are also planning on one new track that will be a collaboration between Howon and I.

After getting home with all my gear, thanks to the studio owner, I was dumped via email by my now ex-girlfriend. Im not one to air my issues out loud, but it was an absolutely soul destroyingly hot and cold kinda day.

BUT!

I have pictures and explanations of what we did in the studio (which what this is all about right?), and I will post them as soon as I have my stuff together. Sleep hasnt been easy recently and im absolutely exhausted right now. Im planning on getting the files from the studio tomorrow and Howon and I will meet and mix some time this week. The hopeful side of me wants to say we will get the intrumental mixes done so I can work on vocals while Howon is in the states doing work for Seoul Sonic. The realistic side of me isnt going to bet on it. 

Regardless, things are moving forward. There will be an album, it will be available, it will have a follow up and I havent been putting you on this whole time. For the few people that stumble on this site, thank you and I will have something for you soon.
